Christmas Countdown 2023

 | Welcome to Sakura's third event: Christmas Countdown! As the name suggests, this time we'll be counting down the days until Christmas on December 25th — and what better way than with daily gifts leading up until the holiday! Even if you don't celebrate Christmas, we hope you can at least enjoy these gifts from us to you!! |
EVENT GUIDE
This event will be fairly simple by our standards so it can (hopefully) be easier for us to manage but essentially, we'll be posting a new gift over on the event forums every day which can be anything from cards, currency, coupons, and more. All players need to do is reply to each day's thread with what they received from the gift and that's it!Accompanying each day and gift is a card from our new limited edition event deck, 2023christmascountdown, which players can only collect through this event. Not only are there less cards in this special deck but their size is different from our usual ones as well, and to top it off: those who complete the entire deck can turn it in for doubled mastery rewards + a custom master badge + a special achievement (separate from the eventual general participation badge), all for free with no coupons or skills needed!
There are, however, a few guidelines to keep in mind regarding these gifts (and event deck):
- New gifts are posted at midnight (or as close to it around/after that time) as we can, every day!
- Each day’s gift will expire at midnight on the day after it's posted (ie. Day 1’s gift on the 13th expires at 11:59 pm on the 14th).
- Players must reply to that day’s thread while it's still open to claim the gift or it will be invalid – but you can use the gift at a later date, if it’s not something that can be taken instantly (ie. cards, coupons, currency, etc)!
- Gifts that can be used at a later date must all be done during December however as all gifts will expire at 11:59 pm on December 31st.
- A final gift on the 25th will be revealed that will also expire at 11:59 pm on the 31st but will be passed out starting January 1st!
EVENT DECK
| Like mentioned above, there is a limited edition event deck that players can only collect through this event. This means the cards will not be obtainable once the event is over (either in the randomizer or as a choice card) nor can masteries be turned in past the deadline, which is January 1st at 11:59 PM, TCG time! The full image used in the deck will be hidden for now but on December 25th, we'll upload the full deck here for those who can't figure out what it is once cards begin to be collected (or for those who just want to see it all together). Until then, feel free to use the filler and pending cards on the right as you see fit! |   |
What we can tell you is that the LE deck has 12 cards and is 4 x 3 (so 4 cards per row, for a total of 3 rows) – so since there's only 12 days in the countdown, it's important to try and make sure you claim every single day's gift! Each card in the deck is worth 1 to your card count and can be traded or gifted to others like any other card. The auto-upload URL for the deck is also different than our usual card directory so eTCG users should use this for their auto-upload instead:

  | Also as previously mentioned, the reward for mastering this LE event deck is the regular mastery reward but doubled along with a custom master badge and an achievement badge that's separate from the general participation badge, both of which have special pixels to signify their limitedness! The master badge image can be different from the one used for the deck but either way, the badge will be edited to include player’s name on it even if you choose to keep the original image. That, plus the special achievement badge (text colour will change based on the image provided), will all be applied for in the event mastery thread so you will receive everything there at once! |
