Hanami Decks

If you are familiar with the concept of member decks in TCGs then Hanami Decks is just that: a deck that's custom-made to a player's preference from the images chosen to the colour used! To keep things on-theme with Sakura's namesake, our version of member decks are named after "flower viewings" because the deck is full of "flowers" (aka the player's favourite images or characters) but otherwise, not much is different between the original idea behind member decks and our Hanami Decks.

Don't worry if you have no idea what member decks entails! Essentially, Hanami Decks are like regular card decks but are custom-made decks unique to the player who applies for it, as explained earlier. The cards in the deck can be of anything as long as it relates to Sakura's main focus and follows our allowed art guidelines! Hanami decks tend to usually feature a player's favourite characters or a specific theme of their choosing but ultimately, it's up to whatever the player applying wants.

However, the deck isn't given for free once it's made; the player must complete certain tasks in order to "unlock" the cards and only once they've unlocked every card in the deck, are they allowed to "master" it and receive a reward. Then, after they master their own hanami deck, that player will be allowed to trade the cards from their hanami deck with another player's (who also has all of their hanami deck unlocked & mastered)–which you may have guessed–can also be mastered for rewards!

Currently, players start off with a base limit of 1 hanami deck – but this limit can be increased with an additionalhanamideck coupon, up until you have a max. total of 3! Every hanami deck is FREE to apply for however, in exchange, players can only apply for and work on unlocking 1 deck at a time so until you completely finish one hanami deck, you cannot apply for and start a new one!

HANAMI CARDS

Unlike our regular cards which are vertical, cards in a hanami deck are horizontal, which you can see examples of below. They also have two versions: locked, and unlocked – both of which will be made for the player's use but still share the same image; the locked version is simply a grayscale version of the original card! LOCKED UNLOCKED Regardless of the version (or whether it's from your own deck or another player's), each hanami card is worth 0 to your total card worth count. Please also note that until a card is unlocked, you do not actually own it yet! In the mean time, if you need filler and pending cards, please find them below: FILLERS PENDING UNLOCKING CARDS Each card in a hanami deck has a specific task assigned to it; provide proof of completing that task and you'll unlock that specific card! Until you completely master the deck, you will only obtain one copy of it to display on your card post but once you do, you will have unlimited copies to trade with others much like how Member IDs work. Additionally, there is no set order you must unlock hanami cards in unless otherwise noted (as some cards require completing a task for another card before you can unlock that card)! If you happen to complete the task to unlock card #10 before you complete the task to unlock card #05 then you can still turn it in first. However, the proof used for unlocking any card in a hanami deck MUST have been completed after the date/time you applied for the deck! If you applied for your first hanami deck on November 1st, you cannot use anything you completed prior to that date even if it applies; only proofs completed on November 1st or any time afterwards will be accepted. The reason for this requirement is not only to provide a challenge, but also due to the very likely possibility that we cannot make the deck on the same day its applied for as we get to them when time is available for us to do so. No matter when we drop the deck off in your thread, players can start working on or completing tasks even if the deck is not made yet!

TRADING HANAMI CARDS Like mentioned before, players are allowed to trade their hanami cards with another player's ONLY AFTER both players' decks are unlocked and mastered! It does not matter what number hanami deck you trade with another (ie. Player A trading the cards from their first hanami deck with the cards from Player B's second hanami deck is OK) as long as the trade contains all 15 cards in the deck. Hanami cards CANNOT be gifted, however! This is mostly to prevent players from having a handful of cards from another player's deck for an indefinite amount of time and not knowing whether they'll ever be able to master it, like in the case that the other player never finishes unlocking said deck (ie. because they're inactive or quit, they forgot who they traded some of the cards with previously, etc). Trading entire decks not only ensures the deck is complete but also means you can turn it in for rewards whenever you'd like without any uncertainty! MASTERING HANAMI DECKS After all the cards in your hanami deck have been unlocked, it is now eligible to be mastered by you and others who obtain all the cards in the deck! REWARDS For mastering your own hanami deck, you will receive 15 random cards, 10 sakura flowers, 300 sakura petals. For mastering another player's hanami deck, you will receive 8 random cards, 4 sakura flowers, 150 sakura petals instead. You can claim both rewards from your personal hanami deck thread (the same one you've been using to apply for the decks and unlocking cards) using the appropriate form from the forum guide! All masteries also include the master badge previously requested when the deck was first applied for, which look like the examples below! Like the individual cards, there is also a locked and unlocked version of it. LOCKED UNLOCKED

HANAMI DECK TASKS

Below are the tasks you will need to complete in order to unlock each card in your hanami deck! Although we allow players to obtain up to 3 hanami decks total, there are only 2 sets of tasks available. Your first hanami deck will use the first set of tasks (which are more specific and meant to help you become more familiar with various aspects of the TCG) while your second and third deck uses the second set (more flexible tasks to match the expected accumulated progress of a more experienced player)!

When providing proof for completing tasks, you cannot use proof that was submitted for a previous deck/card. If multiple tasks require the same thing (ie. completing trade meters or mastering decks), the amount required is an additional amount on top of what you've already used, unless otherwise stated!
